Welcome to groovy north, here we are able to express our creative passions and ideas with one common denominator, we’re pure northern and consider ourselves totally groovy. All coming from very different backgrounds but all choose Blackburn college as our passage into, “the real world” as our tutors never forgot to mention. We bonded over our uncertainty of future endeavours however, could never be more certain we were going to be great friends.
We were all completely different people 2 years ago. Lucy, a fashion amateur, Eleanor, goody toes shoes who just followed the crowd and Ali, well, he was straight. Let’s just say all our fashion expertise were on the rocks, we had few similar interests, this surprisingly, brought us so much closer as we learnt from each other. After being blessed with so many influences in the art community and Lucy’s parents' past in the 90’s rave scene we developed into who we are today and our brand ,Groovy North.
Groovy north hadn't become a brand until about 2 days ago out of pure boredom. I know that sounds not too impressive nevertheless, we’ve always talked about having either our own YouTube channel or website but never took it seriously. We all decided that rather than mourning the loss of the sesh, let's get ready for when we can finally reunite and document our new lives going into university. This website is going to be filled with very personal anecdotes of ourselves, history, interviews, music, fashion, art and just some fun.
